I know my adult sister is on a first-name basis with the UPS driver where she lives.
Friends don’t let friends drink and Prime.
I knew an older woman who just bought stuff on QVC all day.
Her garage was filled with unopened boxes from them delivered by UPS.
Quite a sickness.
You don’the rate till you have photos of the FedEx dudes children
Yet another addiction for the books. What ever happened to the good old days when, if you were having trouble dealing with your problems, you just got drunk?
That’s her right. She sacrifices eating better food so she can buy more. Big whoop! Good for her to spend in this economy.
“Ill eat only ramen in order to shop, she says.”
Good, then that’s a problem that will solve itself in a few years when she dies of malnutrition.
I’m addicted to Command and Conquer - Generals (and zero hour). Love it. Still.
But it doesn’t cost any money...
I buy a LOT of stuff online because I live in the sticks, but I can’t imagine being actually addicted to it. I suppose if I had an unlimited supply of money it might be fun for a few days...
People like this have a shopping addiction.......they get a buzz off from the process as well as getting the items......generally they don’t need the items they order...
Often they’ll buy more than just one of what they’re buying as well.
I worked with a gal like that...only she bought high ticket items she couldn’t afford....$300. for sun glasses and the like.
Yes, I also knew a woman who did that. I think (at the time), she would mostly call in (not online). I believe the QVC telephone staffers were extremely friendly, and it was a way, also, to deal with loneliness.
[and it was a way, also, to deal with loneliness.]
Yes.
Democrat voters in a nutshell.
I’ve started World Of Warships and I do decent at it.
Amazon is my main shopping vice but I only have so much to spend and there are bills to pay.
My wish list does nothing but increase.
Hillary: “Americans shouldn’t be saddled with credit card debt the evil banks forced on them, as president I’ll make sure no one has credit card debt to pay!”
Until she declares bankruptcy and sticks you with the bill.
I buy things online now that I used to drive somewhere and pick up.
Frankly, it’s a great way to make purchases.
Can it get out of hand? Sure. So can driving somewhere and picking things up.
For me it’s Amazon and Costco.com.
Usually free shipping, and ridiculously fast, especially since Amazon has a fulfillment center in my town. It’s the big $10 an hour employer here. :)
Heck, I even get repair parts for my 56 year old tractor and riding mowers at amazon.
She would be smart to order gourmet food online.
