I recently had a computer problem on my Vista machine (yes Vista, it works so I will keep it until it dies) but could not find an answer on line. Went to Amazon, bought Windows Vista for Dummies ($12 free shipping) and had the book the next day - found the answer to my problem in about 10 minutes.

I like Amazon, it is easier and faster then going out to shop.

If I could I’d hop in the DeLorean and head back to the 80’s TODAY.

The pile of reasons just keeps on getting deeper.

I’m addicted to Pokemon Go! I go walking twice a day to catch the little critters and take down that stupid yellow Instinct Gym for my team Valor. Hitmonlee is my favorite pokemon. Bring it, Team Mystic.

Freedom Munitions, Cheaper Than Dirt, etc. Then again purchases don’t linger around the house for long.

That there are so many lonely people looking to fill their emptiness truly saddens me. We are a nation of lonely people, it seems.

That said, my addiction is bulk Legos. In this case the roles are reversed: The seller is the lonely hermit who never leaves his apartment, and I and my kid are the fun ones.

Since my kid is a girl I only buy them in girl colors, which is cool and lame all at once.

Or even regular food online. Amazon has a grocery section!

I think Amazon pays better at the place just down the interstate but I hear it’s a constant high pace.

I get a lot of stuff for my 65 Willys jeep and 82 CJ7 projects.

Bulk Legos are on my list of things to indulge in when I finally have my own place. Shopgoodwill.com often has them in 15-pound bags!

Wow, 15 pounds is a lot.

I have some leftover from when I was a kid, but to a 5 year old girl they are pretty lame. Luckily there’s Legos for girls now, and the colors are super pretty. Like, 3 different shades of purple pretty.

I sound like a homo, but really it’s just the pretty colors talking.

Working for Amazon is hell. People really hate it, but it is a great way to get fit and lose weight.

I used to work for a company that set up call centers in small towns. The labor pool is a lot cheaper. However, they found they had a couple of problems:
1. If they do drug testing, very few candidates pass, so they stopped doing it.
2. This means the quality of applicants and subsequent employees is so poor that the turnover is rather high.

The result is that in a couple of locations they burned through every remotely employable person in the area and had to close down and move somewhere else.

It is a real issue for companies that put these facilities in small towns. People really have no idea how much depravity of lifestyle goes on in flyover U.S.A., and it is due, in no small part, to lack of opportunity.

Eleanor Rigby
Clicks on the price
Of an Amazon item she’s seen
Lives a bad dream
Waits for the checkout
That little wheel spins and spins
As she sits in her den
Damn Windows 10!

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Father McKenzie
Buying ten pairs of some pants
That he likely won’t wear
What does he care?
Look at him surfing
Ordering socks for his feet
Up to two dozen pair
Crazy I swear

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

Ah look at all the lonely people
Ah look at all the lonely people

Eleanor Rigby
Maxxed out her card
And was carried away from her home
First she ordered a gnome
Father McKenzie
Thinks of that poverty vow
that he long ago gave
Now he can’t save

All the lonely people
Where do they all come from?
All the lonely people
Where do they all belong?

It’s quite impressive how some of these sites can figure out what you’re looking for. Overstock.com has been quite good at that. It’s terrific as long as I practice A LOT of self discipline about purchasing.

It is a HUGE boon to those of us in the sticks. I still miss browsing Frye’s, though.

I’ve done some sweatshop labor in electronics and computer resale/recycling.

After a couple of trips to the ER due my body giving out, I would consider starving to death before doing any more.

That crowd went through people like crazy. Most were well meaning but untrainable.

I went to a garage sale where the wife worked and the husband stayed at home. She had a pretty good job.

They had thousands of Hot Wheels cars for sale, action figures, record albums, just TONS of stuff NEVER OPENED.

The guy was exactly what this article talks about. He sat at home shopping all day.
