That rust bucket was launched in 1970. 46 years old. Recent history include equipment malfunctions, cracks in the hull, sailors being arrested for drug and gun offenses, sexual assaults, fuel spills in Halifax Harbor, “the flagship vessel in the navy’s East Coast fleet”, so says the RCN.

Canada is nothing but a target rich environment without Uncle Sam protecting their socialist asses.

Puts things in perspective. When I reported aboard for duty in November of 1961 my ship had just hit 21 years of service, but with the new ones coming into the fleet we considered her old. But I heard they kept her going into the 1980s.
