I apologize for not providing a link - the source will not allow it. But I urge you to search for and read an article by Jeffery Toobin in the New Yorker Magazine called "The Showman", published in May 2016. It is about United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Preet Bharara

It is a very interesting profile: He worked for Schumer, is pals with Comey, and has taken down many corrupt officials.

But if you take the time to read the whole thing, you'll get a fairly good feeling about the chances of something being made to stick to the Clinton Foundation.

It's possible that Comey was so pissed he had to let Hillary skate on the emails that he tapped someone he knew would take care of the situation.

Expect to see Jeffery Toobin being interviewed a lot about this profile article. (I can't stand the guy personally, and I bet he is crapping himself to learn that this guy is peering in on his pal HRC.)

Toobin's a liberal hack. The word 'Clinton' does not occur in the article.

I see he devotes a paragraph to Bharara's having charged the Deputy Consul General of India with visa fraud in 2013 over her having imported a housekeeper from her home country. Devyani Khobragade got the full treatment, including a strip search. Bharara got his headlines. And John Kerry, who went to Vietnam, had a completely unnecessary diplomatic mess with a key ally to deal with.

Bharara may be a good guy or not. However, let’s take a little trip down USADSDNY lane.

In the 1990’s, famed Mafia fighter USDA for the So. District of NY was Mary Jo White. Fearless and honest. Her whole investigation of LIUNA (Laborers International Union of North America) and affiliated unions, all run by the NY Gambino/Gotti mafia families, was skunked when Att. Gen. Janet Reno (DOJ) quashed hundreds of indictments of LIUNA and its leader Arthur Coia Jr (His father, former LIUNA leader and mafia man, was in jail for corruption).

She appointed an “administrator” to help clean up the union with the help of its mobbed up leader Arthur Coia Jr.

LIUNA had given the Clintons and the Democrats over $10 MILLION dollars in donations to various causes over the years.

I don’t remember who the next USDANSD (during the Bush years) was but later it was Loretta Lynch, now the present US Attorney at DOJ (she was a Clinton appointee for the position of USDASDNY before Obama nominated her for DOJ).

I hope and pray that Bharara is as good as reported. We need a strong, honest man or woman there to clean up the criminal mess that is NY/NJ.

I wouldn’t count on anything coming out of this. Preet has no scruples. This is the guy that viciously went after Dinesh D’Souza for Obama, and put him away for a minor infraction that no one has ever gone to jail for before. He’s not some noble prosecutor, but just a vicious lawyer out to bludgeon people with the law for whatever cause (like himself) he’s behind at the moment.
