A case could certainly be made that Arabs and other pagan Middle Easterners were at each other’s throats for a thousand years before Islam.

"Israel" (indeed, the entire Levant) has experienced war and conflict almost continuously forever.
But islam is a clearly different story, easily distinguished from ancient barbarism. They brought a new definition to two-legged animals.
