I'm 62 and we are not "flushed" with money but do okay...

its MUCH harder for younger people to even get going...

they follow the rules..

pay taxes

buy obscene car and health insurance..

try to save in our upside down economy where saving is punished...

they were promised all this wonderful "Friends" life and instead, they get mundane jobs with diminishing prospects...

our taxing policies have basically destroyed their chances...

And regulations. There's a reason for the typical "city shut down kid's lemonade stand" story: it happens. (And, if nothing else, it teaches that entrepreneurship is disallowed/punished.) — I truly wonder how much economic growth regulations of all sorts and all levels have cost us.

IMO, incorrect is one aspect: TAXES have a rightful purpose. It’s our our UNCONSITUTIONAL, Socialist policies that have destroyed OUR chances.

Just look at the thread to see the ‘entitlement’ vs. ‘resentment’ mentality (the latter, rightfully so). It’s only going to get worse once the bleeding-dry REALLY kicks in. The Grand-parents vs. Grand-children political battle is going to get HEATED.

Oh, horror to the politician on whom to pander. /s

That's the real answer, as to why Millennials are poor. Taxes are too high. Too many taxes. And we ain't seen anything yet. Because of overspending by all government, whether fed, state or local, there is a lot of servicing of debt load. Those trillions of dollars of debt must have the loan interest paid from general funds before what's left is wasted on anything else. So the bulk of tax collections goes toward servicing debt, and government is always seeking new taxes because what is left is not enough for their wish lists. Millennials are poor because of liberal over-taxing, will get poorer, but keep electing the liberal politicians who make it worse for them. Glad I'm old and will not have to worry much more, unlike Millennials who have a lot more worrying to do.
