Blue Shield of California (BSC) will be shutting down for four days following Labor Day weekend as a way to stop the financial bleeding resulting from losses in “Covered California,” the state’s Obamacare exchange program.
The change will “affect most of [BSC’s] 6,000 employees in California,” the San Francisco Business Times reports, although the “exact number of workers involved hasn’t yet been tabulated.” But BSC hopes that the move could save “an estimated $4 million.”
According to the Times, BSC spokesman Steve Shivinsky said, “This is certainly not normal for us. We’re definitely seeing some income challenges as of mid-year.”

I think you are right. After all, they are saying capitalism is proving that it is a failure, while ignoring the fact that capitalism is what made our country great, but when we abandoned capitalism, THAT is when things started getting dicey. What we hve now is economic fascism.
I still sell it and I have little sympathy for Blue Shield right now. They are paying the price for their 'pay to play' philosophy. California has been trying to mess with health care and still is.

I was quite excited when Trump called AGW dumb (I don’t remember the exact quote). He’s been relatively silent on that issue, and that made me nervous.
Trump hasn’t said anything more about it because it’s way down on the list of things people care about right now.

Note no one is saying a word about the disaster DUMBOCARE has made out of the Medicare gut that funds DUMBOCARE, or the Military Medical care gut for both active and retired. We’ve seen increased co-pays, and less coverage, several times in the past 7+ years.
