Imagine that a Republican state attorney general had been forced to resign after being convicted of perjury and obstruction of justice. Now imagine how the story would have been played on MSNBC. Fair to assume that the word “Republican” would have featured in the story’s first sentence?
But in a stand-alone segment on today’s Hardball on the forced resignation of Kathleen Kane, the Pennsylvania AG who was convicted on nine charges, host Chris Matthews failed to ever mention, and the screen graphics never revealed, that Kane is a Democrat. Kane had illegally leaked secret grand jury documents to harm a rival prosecutor, then lied about it under oath.

Chrissy Matthews is merely another dishonest propaganda hack for the DNC. The only surprise is that he felt the need to report on Kane’s implosion at all.
It’s true: to a certain extent I give him credit for reporting it at all, which I’m sure most MSNBC shows didn’t do. I’m guessing it had something to do with Matthews coming from Pennsylvania.
Standard operating procedure. I’ve observed this my whole adult life. Scandal, such as Dennis Haster, will always make his party affiliation prominent. Democrat scandals will have it buried deep in the article or not disclosed at all.
Is anyone surprised about this?????
oh, I didn’t realize that Matthews came out of PA.... I live in PA and I never hear of him in this context.... I think any ties he may have had must be in the distant past?

Once they are convicted the DNC pulls their membership card until they get out of prison.

Not only does the eneMedia fail to mention the party affiliation of convicted Democrat officials, but they cast as already-convicted any Republican/conservative on trumped up “lawfare” charges when a trial is still pending, such as Ken Paxton of Texas or Scott Lively in the frivolous SMUG lawsuit.
She’ll never see the inside of a prison, I’ll wager. To much ground work to be done on Hillary’s campaign.
And orange traffic cone would be much more informative.
Jake Tapper also did a dis-service to this story - he covered it in last minute or so of show, while talking like an amateur auctioneer to comic effect.
Somehow, people know these things, inherently....................

The other trick is for a Dem member of the house to have a scandal....the media will always use “Rep. John Doe accused of X” - trying to make you think it’s a republican and not Representative...
