Sneed: Powell may be poised to endorse Clinton (guess the date)
Chicago Sun Times ^ | August 11, 2016 | Michael Sneed

Is retired four-star Gen. Colin Powell, a Republican, getting close to a presidential endorsement of his former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton? Betting? Well, Sneed hears it’s a good bet to hit the “Yes” button. Slap shot: Although Powell has tried to stay out of politics and has jokingly claimed he remains a Republican “because it annoys them,” an endorsement would not be a surprise.

Sec. Powell says he remains a Republican “because it annoys them." It sure annoys the hell out of me after watching him lay prostrate before Obama in the last 2 elections.

While I can't pick the exact date that Powell will endorse Clinton, I can be certain it will happen when the Clinton campaign and the media partners pull out their rally monkeys - like maybe the day of the first debate.

Liked him as an active duty 4 star general. He sucked as a civilian.

He endorsed Hussein, too. So he has shown his race based choices already. Boring.

For some reason I thought Powell already endorsed her. Maybe I just remember his condemnation of Trump.

A pro-abortion Republican will always turn out to be a pro-abortion Democrat.

Condi is also pro-abortion.

Powell is a lying, disloyal, scumbag and endorsing Hillary is very appropriate.

“getting close to a presidential endorsement of his former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton?”

Since when was Hillary SOS under Powell. I’m pretty sure this article was written by someone drunk.

Trump offered a better future to African Americans in his Milwaukee speech, and they are responding to it.

Probably more African Americans will vote for Trump than any candidate since Eisenhower.

If Powell wants to remain a part of the do-nothing establishment, and let the ghettos remain as they are,
then he will break ranks with the future of black america
and endorse Clinton and all the failures of the past democratic administrations.

Powell has been an ingracious turncoat for decades.
W. helped Colin Powell to make history as the first black Secretary of State. Afterwards, Colin grabs every opportunity to kick the GOP in it’s clenched teeth. Go ahead and vote for Hillary, as though anybody with a brain expected any thing else from you!

“Probably more African Americans will vote for Trump than any candidate since Eisenhower.”

That should read, “than any Republican candidate since Eisenhower.”

The left insisted he was a war criminal, and his speech to the UN contained all the WMD lies that led us to war.

But make the right endorsement and even "war crimes" are forgiven.

He was only a pseudo-Republican out of pure political opportunism. It advanced his career in the Reagan admin. and then got him a cabinet appt. in the Bush-II admin. Once he endorsed Obozo he should have made the honest move to change parties, but ofc it is more useful to him to remain the MSM’s favorite token Republican.
