Much of the media never did “warm up” to Reagan. They were always poised to stick a fork in him and they threw everything they had at him. At the end they were calling him demented and crazy.
My memory is after his re-election it was a lovefest for RR.
I think because so much of America loved him and the media had to satisfy that.
