Sadly, the REAL Uncle Tom of Stowe's book was an example of walking a path devoted to Christ and the epitome of faith. It should be a compliment, not insult, to be called an Uncle Tom.

Maybe the black Trump supporters are as brave as the literary character.

Black Trump supporters risk total ridicule and rejection in their communities but more and more are “leaving the plantation” because Donald Trump wants prosperity/jobs for All those Americans who want to work.

He gave very heartfelt outreach for the black vote yesterday at Charlotte’s rally. Several outstanding black supporters spoke. It’s worth the effort to watch the rally speech again.

You are right. Uncle Tom was one of the more decent people in the entire story. Too bad his character has been maligned and distorted into something evil, probably by people who have never read the book. In my opinion, and decent black should be honored to be called “Uncle Tom”. Anyone who actually read the book would have used the terms “Sambo” or “Quimbo” for slurs against fellow blacks.
