Ask them how socialism can be good if is so fragile that it hasn’t been implemented correctly yet in 150 years of trying.
They always point to Sweden. When you point out that Sweden is a small country with a (formerly) homogeneous culture and a strong work ethic, and that what “works” for them might now for us, they get upset.

Sweden is not Socialists. It’s actually a free market economy mixed with a large welfare state. Works for a while until the funds dry up. And all the stats you hear regarding a great quality of life are exaggerated. Big problems with drug addictions there among other things.
