Five Notre Dame football players were arrested with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana on Friday, according to the Indiana State Police. A sixth football player was arrested after a separate incident at a South Bend bar, according to multiple reports.

Starting safety Max Redfield, linebacker Te’Von Coney, wide receiver Kevin Stepherson, running back Dexter Williams and defensive back Ashton White were charged in the marijuana incident. Redfield, Stepherson and Williams face additional charges for possession of a handgun without a license, according to the police.

In a separate incident, cornerback Devin Butler was arrested on suspicion of battery, according to the St. Joseph County Police Department online search.

“Brian Kelly recruited them.”

So then he can discipline them. Suspension is in their future.

Speaking of football, which is worse, beating a dog or beating a girlfriend?

And for those keeping score, both are a ‘yes’.

Notre Dame has an excellent opportunity to take a stand against student athletes

They had an excellent opportunity to stand up against the Muslim president and didn't.

They had an excellent opportunity to stand up against the football thug rapist and didn't. As a result the young girl is dead and ND is disgraced.

they are certainly auditioning nicely for their entry into the National Felons league”

You can bet the National Felon League agents were at their door the moment they made bail with their checkbooks out.

How did this happen? Most all division 1 schools have their football team in camp for like 3 weeks/24hrs a day.

I was thinking they would be ready for the game with the guards. What was it ‘the longest yard’?

Guessing their names don't begin with Mc or O'. I could be wrong. Now I'm going to open the sealed envelope to see how I did.

OK, I'm right. I know, I know, not a hard guess to make.

All freshmen take first year of studies. They have some choice:

Course 1: Writing and Rhetoric or University Seminar: one in fall semester, the other in spring semester

Course 2: Mathematics: both fall and spring semester

Course 3: Science: both fall and spring semester

Course 4: University Requirement or Elective: one in fall semester, the other in spring semester

Course 5: Program Requirement or Elective: one in fall semester, the other in spring semester

Looking those pictures, one thing I notice on just one, but I suspect the others are similarly “tatted” up. The question I have is since they are “amateur” athletes, where do they get the money for all the tats most of them have? They don’t work. That many tats would cost a lot of money. If done free, then they would constitute a gift and that isn’t allowed under NCAA rules. Just where in the hell do college athletes, both black and white, get all the money for tats?
NCAA, maybe you should do your job and investigate and keep the ash and trash out of college sports.

ND's very real problem is South Bend. Almost nothing to do, and at the same time, plenty of bad sh!t to get mixed up in.

In the days of yore, the admin/admissions would screen out most of the kids who could not get their minds around the idea of 4 years in Northern Siberianda.

That stopped around 1992 or so.

South Bend is not that bad. However, it has been more than a decade since I was there last and could be that more drugs, Mulims, illegal aliens have moved in.
