There have been so many of these types of incidents which have been proven to be hoaxes, that I personally disregard when it’s in the news, and assume it’s fake.

Here in our suburb of Seattle we had a muslim gal claim that someone left a post-it not on her car. They had a photo of it in the paper.
On top, scrawled in block letters like a fourth grader might write was something like All muSLims go home.
Below it, in the same ink was something written in Arabic, in nice flowing symbols.
