Unless you were being sarcastic, which I still don’t see, I don’t think I did.

I read my post again. Made my point. All you’ve done is say that if you break the law you go to jail. So, you missed my point. disagree if you will, but if you have that many people in our criminal justice system from inner city minorities you have a problem within the system - the system itself. The war on drugs is an abject failure and has generated a cycle of criminality and condemned an entire class of people to a life of failure. ... fine, disagree with my point. But... please... a simplistic response of break the law go to jail misses my point.

“All you’ve done is say that if you break the law you go to jail.”

This is incorrect?

“if you have that many people in our criminal justice system from inner city minorities you have a problem within the system - the system itself.”

How does that follow? Why is the undeniable fact that young black men commit crimes at horrifying rates the fault of “the system,” and to what “system” do you refer? The legal system that arrests them *after* they commit crimes? The welfare system that destroyed the black family? The school system that failed to use corporal punishment to force them to get an education? The legal system that failed to deter them?

If “inner city minorities” get arrested and jailed that much it is because they commit that many crimes, and they commit that many crimes because they encourage each other to do it. Once they started going bad—yes, bad—it was all down hill. The older ones lead the younger ones into evil, generation after generation. It may very well be true that every generation has to become evil to keep the previous generation from killing them, but they still do it.

The problem is not some “system”; the problem is that inner city black culture is saturated with satanic evil.

“The war on drugs is an abject failure”

Well, we never actually fought a war on drugs.

“and has generated a cycle of criminality and condemned an entire class of people to a life of failure.”

Road apples. The notion that getting an education is “too white” condemns them to failure. Slut mothers who don’t have a father in the house condemn them to failure. Welfare that renders black men superfluous condemn them to failure. A social milieu in which brutal criminals are heroes to be emulated condemns them to failure.

Now, there is a case to be made that LBJ’s leftard crap created the initial conditions for all this, but in the end, blacks did it to themselves, and continue to do it to themselves.

“a simplistic response of break the law go to jail misses my point.”

Actually, it contradicts your point. Further, it is more accurate and less simplistic than blaming the “cycle of criminality” on drugs or the war on drugs.

“Your lack of understanding is not worth me repeating myself.”

Right. Inner city blacks are saints. They don’t commit crimes. It’s the system. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

You can repeat “it’s the system” from now until the trump of doom, and it won’t make it true.

Who said anybody was a saint? You really pulled that one out of your backside.

Just for the record, I grew up in a police family and helped train K9 dogs for law enforcement. I know what I am talking about.

Too many inner city minorities hate the police almost as much as they fear and hate the drug dealing gangs. One moment they are rousted by the drug dealers and the next moment they are rousted by the police.

Lousy schools, no real jobs except flipping burgers - and politicians who tell them it's the white man's fault - so the young males are trapped in gangs and drugs. They get their first drug arrest and their futures are caught in a vicious cycle - in turn they become vicious. Are those minority males lost? Probably, but that is up to God.

I say take the profit out of illegal drugs and you stop the cycle. (The point you just don't get.) Shipping the problem out to the suburbs doesn't work. Continuously locking people up doesn't work - unless you own stock in private prisons.

Why do you think police have no community support in the inner cities? Because these people are animals? Are they not God's children the same as you and I? You talk about these people like they are less than human. I think you need a little more Christianity in your thinking.

There are many blacks who do not live in the slums and are not criminals. Probably the great majority. None of my remarks are intended to describe them.

“I know what I am talking about.”

No, you don’t.

“Too many inner city minorities hate the police almost as much as they fear and hate the drug dealing gangs.”

Sorry, but you are not going to convince me that this is justified. Police, generally speaking, are decent men, not jack-booted thugs.

“One moment they are rousted by the drug dealers and the next moment they are rousted by the police.”

Are you really trying to put murdering thugs on the same moral plane with police? What are you, another “stealth” liberal who thinks that by pretending to be conservative he can get a hearing for left-wing crapola?

“Lousy schools”

And whose fault is that? Generation after generation, evil people force others to become evil; they deprive others of their education with impunity. Every effort to improve black schools is immediately trampled upon by—why, by “black leaders,” of course. Je$$e Jack$on, Al Sharpton, Calypso Louie, and others are always on the wrong side of this issue.

“no real jobs except flipping burgers”

For people with no education? What did they think was going to happen? When I was a high-school dropout, before I went to college, flipping burgers was the only job I could get, and I was glad to have it. Are they entitled to more because their skins are black?

“and politicians who tell them it’s the white man’s fault”

Now there you’ve identified an actual problem. Blacks should have gotten rid of the race-hustling poverty pimps before they ever gained traction. But they didn’t. They jumped on the “whites are the source of all evil” bandwagon instead.

“so the young males are trapped in gangs and drugs.”

Trapped by whom? By “the system,” or by other blacks? I don’t see white politicians putting guns to their heads. It’s black thugs who do that. I don’t see white politicians “turning out” young black girls. It’s black thugs who do that. How many white politicians do you suppose belong to the Crips and Bloods?

And “trapped by…drugs?” Do you know how many black criminals are first arrested for drugs, as opposed to assault, robbery, rape, or murder? You want people to believe that the war on drugs is mostly responsible for the behavior of these grotesque savages, but you have provided no support for that assertion.

It’s a blatant case of premise smuggling. If we accept that the reason they’re “in the justice system” is that they were arrested for drug possession, then we are accepting that the drug arrest—not the drugs, the arrest—is the cause of the crimes they go on to commit. Those two sons of Obunghole who kidnapped that girl, raped, tortured, and murdered her, then fed her to alligators, did all that because of their first arrest, which for your premise to be correct must have been for drugs. It’s ludicrous. And you go on to say:

“They get their first drug arrest and their futures are caught in a vicious cycle - in turn they become vicious.”

How many blacks with a marijuana possession arrest on their records are practicing law today? How many black doctors, entrepreneurs, and above all government bureaucrats got busted for pot as teenagers? Nobody has ever collected those data, but is it conceivable that the numbers are insignificant?

They are caught in a vicious cycle and become vicious because they are born into a vicious tribe. They are made vicious by the vicious savages who surround them, not by an arrest. An arrest is no trauma for them. Everyone they know has been arrested. Many of their role models have done hard time, are murderers, pimps, thieves. It is ridiculous to assert that an arrest causes their decision to embark on a life of crime.

You are correct when you say that it is very difficult for someone born in the slum to climb out, but not because they were once arrested for drugs. They have been shaped—by other blacks—into people uniquely fitted to survive in a unique environment, and not fitted for much else. It is also the racism that surrounds them. Not white racism; black racism, which persuades them that effort is futile, that the man be dogging them so evil is their only option.

“Are those minority males lost? Probably, but that is up to God.”

Satan has been playing a larger role.

“I say take the profit out of illegal drugs and you stop the cycle. (The point you just don’t get.)”

I have been debating that question since the 1960s, and have probably been on every side of it at one time or another. I “get” that proposition in ways you haven’t had time to think of yet. I have even seen it in action.

Making drugs cheap is a practical impossibility, because government is going to tax and regulate them, and that guarantees the continued existence of a black market. So, the first thing is, you can’t get what you want.

Even if you could, you might “break the cycle” of drug arrests, but you would not break the cycle of arrests for assault, robbery, rape, murder, or the bloody kaleidoscope of other crimes that comprise their behavioral repertoire. They’d still be making teenagers kill some random person for gang initiations. They’d still be forcing young girls to engage in depraved behavior. They’d still be pimping, robbing, raping, extorting, and destroying everything they touch. That their first arrest was not for drugs would not change a thing.

“Shipping the problem out to the suburbs doesn’t work.”

Why would it? Evil people do not repent because their address changes.

“Continuously locking people up doesn’t work”

Locking them up for what? Most places don’t even try people for minor pot offenses any more.

Now, if you are saying that things like pimping, robbery, rape, and extortion should be made capital crimes, and the guilty should be executed (now, not in 20 years), I can get behind that.

“unless you own stock in private prisons.”

Private prisons are an abomination. We need a constitutional amendment.

“Why do you think police have no community support in the inner cities?”

You, apparently, think it is because the police are such terrible people. I do not.

People tend to share the values of the societies in which the live, mutatis mutandis. One of the values of the slums is, “We hate cops.” That is the most significant single factor, by far. In addition, the aforementioned politicians and “leaders” play a role. There are a few other things, but none as significant as these two.

“Because these people are animals?”

No, because they are savages. Human, but not a part of human civilization.

“You talk about these people like they are less than human.”

No, I don’t. When somebody says something like that, he’s just trying to call somebody a racist without coming out and saying it. Anyway, it bears not at all on the validity of anything I’ve said.

“I think you need a little more Christianity in your thinking.”

And you need more study of Christianity. We are not enjoined to love sin or tolerate those who wreak great evils.

I get your prejudice. There is little to add after that.

Are you really trying to put murdering thugs on the same moral plane with police? What are you, another “stealth” liberal who thinks that by pretending to be conservative he can get a hearing for left-wing crapola?

This comment makes you as dumb as bag of hammers mixed with the dullest knife in the drawer. By overstating everything you actually think you make a point. Hey! I am over 60 - been in countless forums - and when I read logic like yours all I can do is laugh.

You want people to believe that the war on drugs is mostly responsible for the behavior of these grotesque savages, but you have provided no support for that assertion.

Oh! So now I have to footnote because you have been ignorant all your life. (And where are your footnotes... or does God speak to you and you speak to the world.) I am not going to do your research for you. Look it up yourself: drugs are about gangs. Drugs are about the guts of the crime in the inner cities. Drugs are virtually always the first arrest or accompany other charges at the same time. Are you really that unaware - or are you one of those closet bigots?

And finally, I am sorry you dropped out of school. And I am sorry that you do not have the experience around law enforcement that I have. Perhaps you should do some more research in a broader range of information. Start with crime statistics.

“I get your prejudice.”

That’s just pathetic. You have no response to the reasoned arguments I posted, so you fall back on the old libtard standard: “You’re a racist.”

“Hey! I am over 60”

Really? Over sixty and you’re still mired in idiotic leftist crap? Pathetic.”

“been in countless forums”

What, you keep getting the boot for being an obnoxious moron?

“and when I read logic like yours all I can do is laugh.”

Well, it’s certain that when you read logic you can’t understand it, so I guess laughing is less damaging to your ego than admitting you’re lost.

“So now I have to footnote”

No, you have to provide some sort of support for your assertions when they are challenged. I’m sure all those
forums you got kicked out of asked the same thing. It’s common practice among human beings everywhere.

“And where are your footnotes”

I explained my position in some detail. The only thing you’ve offered is, “It’s the system, and if you don’t believe me, you’re a big stupid-head.” About the intellectual level of a six-year-old, not a sixty-year-old.

“I am not going to do your research for you.”

Well, you haven’t done any for yourself, so I certainly wouldn’t expect you to do any for anyone else. The crap you babble is the nonsensical raving of the left, and is based on research in no way.

“And finally, I am sorry you dropped out of school.”

I was orphaned, and it took me a couple of years to get set up for college. So take your smarmy fake sympathy and pack it where the sun doesn’t shine.

“And I am sorry that you do not have the experience around law enforcement that I have.”

I don’t think you have such experience. I think you’re just trying to sell anti-police sentiment.

“Perhaps you should do some more research in a broader range of information.”

I was where you are forty years ago. Perhaps you should do something about being stuck on stupid.

All you have are BS cliches and too much time on your hands. I was raised in a police family, paid my own way through college... married to the same woman for over 40 years and have two highly successful sons who are both Virginia Military Institute grads.

I have always been both a Southern Baptist and a republican... and retired early from a Fortune 500 company.

Other than being a high school drop out and having an abysmal poverty of mind... what do you really have to show for yourself?

“All you have are BS clichés”

Accuse others of what you do. You really take your Lenin to heart.

“I was raised...”

Blah, blah, blah. Maybe some part of that is true. It is also true that I might as well have been talking to a sack of dirt for all the comprehension you show.

“Other than being a high school drop out”

This is the third time I’ve had to tell you that I am a college graduate. Is it stupidity or malice that keeps you returning to that, like a dog returning to his vomit?

“and having an abysmal poverty of mind”

The image of you searching websites for a phrase like that is mildly amusing.

“what do you really have to show for yourself?”

So, you steer the discussion away from the merits of the arguments to personal attacks. Typical liberal.

I have posted here for 18 years because leftists are not allowed. I’m going to ignore you until you get yourself zotted.

I have treated you mildly. You are the person who has called me a liar and a 'libtard' among other things. I only addressed you partly in kind.

I introduced the idea of taking the profit out of drugs which would greatly reduce gang turf wars and overall crime in our inner cities - which would help everyone including the police.

As a child I had walked the beat with my father between call boxes. The neighborhood loved him and he loved his job. Over the years everything went straight to hell. The gangs pushing drugs and a massive change in police tactics.

The most ignorant thing you said was that there never was a war on drugs. Actually, I should have stopped responding to you after you posted that.

“I have treated you mildly.”

You have no standing to “treat me” any way at all. That said, you have been an obnoxious jackass throughout.

“I introduced the idea of taking the profit out of drugs”

Yeah, right, that’s never been brought up before. I’ll tell you what you didn’t do: you didn’t support the idea or address any of the reasoned arguments I posted in rebuttal. It’s like your brain has gone deaf.

“As a child I”

Maybe. You still don’t understand this issue.

“The most ignorant thing you said”

And that’s another example of the childish, unintelligent remarks you’ve been making all along.

“was that there never was a war on drugs.”

If you had any experience discussing this with conservatives, you would be familiar with the oft-repeated opinion that what the government called a “war on drugs” cannot actually be described as such.

If you want to see a war on drugs, look to places like Singapore. We took nothing but ineffective half-measures.

“Actually, I should have stopped responding to you after you posted that.”

Yes, that would have left us wondering whether you are a false-flag poster, where now we know.

Now we know your world and its preferred level of crime fighten' - and sure, you'd love it there since you perceive yourself on the side of kicking ass: totally un-Christian and against everything this country stands for.

You don't rise to the level of Christianity... maybe not any level of humanity. It matches your screed.

...where now we know

We, meaning the obvious voices in your head - quite apparent.
