My daughter and son-in-law have had their signs stolen twice. They just went and got a giant one and several little ones and bought surveillance cameras.

We spray the edges of all of the campaign signs we put out with olive oil spray.
It doesn't take long for the local Democrat sign thieves to get very unhappy and leave our signs alone.

I recommend automatic wildlife cameras. Place one on a tree nearby a sign and catch a picture of the perp. Take the pic to the local law enforcement.
I also read a while ago that someone rigged an electric fence charger to a sign that gave a nasty shock to anyone touching it.

Here in Western Suburban Chicago there are ZERO signs for either candidate. I don’t see any bumper stickers either. I think people are scared to show their support for Trump.

Goes both ways. I would never deny someone’s first amendment right to post the ‘can’t-i-date’ of their choice in their yard but did have it happen to us leading up to the lyin’ king’s first abysmal term. Twice someone took our yard signs so we just quit putting them up. We were pretty sure who it was but without a video, couldn’t prove it. I wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper and never mentioned either party. Just the disappearing campaign signs and that they should be left alone regardless.

It’s stuff like this that will keep people from showing visible support for Trump, and/or vocally supporting him. I think the “polls” are wrong — there is more support for Trump than the pundits will admit.
