Because his constituents make him look like a Nobel Prize winning physicist, that’s why. They are, as a group, so monumentally stupid that they either: a) can’t get jobs and need the largesse that he brings home from DC to survive; or b) have swallowed - hook, line and sinker - the lie that the Democrat Party actually cares about them, and that if a Republican was elected then the KKK would be outside their door 5 minutes later.

It is basically the same reason that Obama got elected twice, and that Illary Borgia Clinton is competitive vs. any Republican.
