Trump's plan for those still here is almost identical with that of Jeb. We all hated Jeb’s guts for his plan. The difference is that Trump knows that his core will follow him if he shoots someone in public in downtown NY. Someone will cry foul and say he was kidding but that is exactly Trumps words, and humor has truth. Right now I have been reading what some have said, desperately trying to justify it by saying it is faking the dems or something silly. It may get me kicked off here but here is the unvarnished truth.

Donald Trump is like many of our candidates. He has secured his base and is not changing his position of a controversial subject in order to win those on the fringes (i.e. independents and more moderate Dems.) He knows that those like us are going to vote for him because we have no choice.

This is what we have gotten, a candidate with no conservative principles who will say anything to get elected. With that said I will never vote for Hillary but it seems like there is less and less reasons to vote for Trump. What will everyone say if he “moderates” his view on the wall?

I love you all and have enjoyed posting and exchanges with you. I assume that this note will get me banned from here, since we have been told that NO NEGATIVE comments about Trump will be tolerated. Feel free to try to convince me that this is somehow different from what Jeb would do. One final question. If Trump had come out with these ideas 6 months ago, would you have been so gung ho for him?

I don’t think we aren’t allowed to say *anything* negative about Trump, or else I would’ve been banned long ago.

We aren’t allowed to say “don’t vote for Trump” and/or “vote for Hillary in protest” or other similar nonsense who’s only goal is to foster a sabotage of the only viable opposition to the Beast. And that’s perfectly fair.

I have every intention of voting for Trump and I would never advocate voting for Hillary, for any reason. As long as anyone sticks to that position of course criticism of Trump is allowed (if you’re willing to endure some flames for it because FR is pretty pro Trump right now. )

I criticized him just the other day for this though and I’m not banned. He’s actually been remarkably consistent on this issue I just don’t know where some of the Shocked Sally’s have been. He’s said virtually from day one that we should be “firm but fair” and “let the good ones back in”. He’s telegraphed from day one how he’s pro-amnesty (of course he doesn’t call it that but it is what it is in effect). Some around here were clearly not paying attention during the primary.

Well, to such Jonny Come Latelys I say: welcome to the party pal! (as John McClaine said in Die Hard).

I’m voting for him to nominate SC justices and deport illegals (even understanding he may let “the good ones back in). Something is better than the nothing we have now! Anything above and beyond that is gravy (but I don’t think anything more will happen, including actually building the wall). I think it’s delusion and fantasy to believe and expect more of him.

But there’s no choice now, not if I want to be able to look at myself in the mirror and say honestly, “I tried everything I reasonably could to stop the scourge of socialism from destroying this country”. (Not that I believe a Trump presidency will even do that most likely it won’t, but a Hail Mary pass is at least something better than nothing)

Well, gbscott1954, you are exactly correct, (a little Ted Cruz lingo, there) but that “almost” is mighty small! For starters, Trump has a history of actually doing what he says he will do. JEB! and his Bush Crime family don’t like Donald J. Trump, so that should tell you something is different.

Have you ever looked into how many criminal cases are settled by “working with” the defendant? It is called a “plea bargain”. It is how most cases are settled.

He already did.

Don't blame me. I voted for Cruz.
