It’s Official: Gary Johnson Is A Left-Wing Candidate
The Federalist ^ | August 25, 2016 | Robert Tracinski

Posted on 08/25/2016 7:07:03 AM PDT by detective

On Friday, Brian Doherty of the Libertarian flagship publication Reason scolded me, and by extension anyone else who has been turned off by some of the Johnson-Weld ticket’s public statements, that we were placing more importance on “the attitude stuff related to culture war issues about discrimination and guns” than on the really crucial issues of “spending or budgets or the growth of government.”

Then on Monday, Gary Johnson came out in favor of—drumroll, please—a carbon tax to fight global warming.

One of my conservative friends who is now a never Trumper is promoting Gary Johnson. I looked up Johnson’s political positions. He believes in a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion up to viability. That knocks him out of the box right there for me.

Smaller, cheaper, less intrusive government is all well and good, but one would think a libertarian party might also actually be concerned about, you know, civil liberties.

Good, we want Johnson to move as far left as he can, so he’ll draw more votes from Hillary :)

Any vote that doesn’t go to Trump increases the chance of Hillary becoming president. Contrary to what NRO and the NeverTrumpers claim, it IS a binary choice, and ANYTHING other than a vote for Trump is a vote that makes President Hillary Clinton more likely. And you don’t get more liberal or hard-core Anti-American & Anti-God than that!

“Some Newbie was all impressed that this guy climbed everest.”

Haha, I watching “Seven Years in Tibet” the other day. What did the Tibetan girl call mountain climbing? A “foolish pleasure”?

It’s even worse than that climbing Everest, since you don’t need any skill anymore, you just need enough money to pay real climbers to haul your behind up there.

For some reason, the Libertarians are not running libertarian candidates. Go figure.
I think their only platform is ‘Smoke more dope.’
Weld, for instance, is an anti-gun Progressive.

The ability to control Words and the Narrative (why no comments allowed) is controlling beliefs of the sheeple/masses.

Now words mean the opposite-—so that the Leftists-Marxists could make Evil into Good (for the children) and destroy Western Civilization (Whites/Christians whose worldview created the Age of Reason).

Every important “Word” now means the opposite-—starting with Liberty and Right and Justice and Slavery. Like all Orwellian Worlds, Slavery is Freedom and Girls are Boys and Justice is Fascism.

People need to get back to philosophy —First Principles-—and NOT be swayed by Sophists/liars.

They destroyed Western Curricula-—banned it and God (Truth) right from the curricula by the 60s ON PURPOSE-—to get dumb, ignorant sheeple who believe whatever DUMB, IGNORANT thing government FEEDS them.

How? Without Western Classical curricula in the schools, there is no ability to “think”-—only to be programmed and regurgitate the idiocy. Most “teachers” are now dumb as stumps-—just programmed non-thinking “bots” who will program the future adults with their same Marxism sick ideology of irrationality.

Reminds of a time in the late ‘90’s when I ran into a LaRouchie on a college campus in the Midwest - before he had a chance to go into his spiel, I answered his question to me by saying “of course I plan to vote - I’m going to write in the Queen of England for President”.

He stood there dumfounded for several seconds before I moved on - I thought his head was going to explode as he stared at me. They really had a thing about the Queen of England in their conspiracy world.

It was official when he picked an anti-2A running mate. Anyone with half a clue could figure it out at that instant. How long has that been now?

Actually that is only one of Johnson's leftist positions. He is in favor of laws that restrict religious freedom and promote the homosexual agenda. He is for confiscation of guns and against the 2nd Amendment. He is in favor of more taxes including the carbon tax. He is in favor of larger and more intrusive government.

In short, he is a leftist. There is absolutely nothing about him that is libertarian. Johnson and Weld were never libertarians. they have always been big government establishment liberals.

I am so sick of the morning FOX "anchors" like Martha what's her name and the other Jeb Bush toadies bringing on that Libertarian candidate Johnson whatever his name is and his "we cannot build a wall" and then Martha Jeb Junkie always closing out the "guest interview" with "I think we all can agree with that" routine as part of the agenda by this creep and the others to waste their vote on this dandruff in order to sap some votes away from Trump to try and get Hillary the hag elected. These FOX creeps of Jeb Bush bot cult literally have this turkey on everyday now and all these creeps and their obvious GOPe agenda makes me want to vomit on their face.

>>Heck, the young revolutionaries seem to always fall behind some old rich guy. It’s kinda funny.

There is a long tradition in British and American politics of the “mad squire” as populist revolutionary. In the UK, this used to be called “Tory anarchism”, with leading examples being such 20th century figures as Bertrand Russell and Enoch Powell, and Nigel Farage in the 21st century.

In the US, some examples are Trump, of course, but also earlier leaders like Barry Goldwater, Reagan, and maybe Eugene McCarthy and Ralph Nader on the left.

Johnson and Weld are both pro-abortion.

IOW, it’s okay for private citizens to murder innocent people. This is the “non-aggression principle” that is the basis of Libertarianism.

Well, that ought to be the kiss of death for the four million that bowed out of the last presidential election.

It is an interesting dynamic that those who were so vehemently opposed to Mitt Romney in the last election are in effect giving him a pass in this one as he works against the primary chosen candidate. In other words, the dislike of Trump, trumps their former opposition to Mitt Romney. All of which fails to address the open hypocrisy of the self label “principled” conservatives who gave us eight years of a half black jackass, and seem to be moving in the same direction this election cycle hand in hand with the “gentleman” they were so recently opposed to. May the force derail their efforts.

I do believe that any vote other than Trump is a vote for Hillary. But FWIW, nearly all my Facebook friends who are supporting Johnson, are Democrats. Prayers that Trump can right the Good Ship America.

The Libertarian Party has all but destroyed itself by allowing these two idiots to be their nominees.

Dr. Murray Rothbard, one the party founders, must rolling in his grave at this.

Neither one was a good governor and now they have helped wreck any credibility the Libertarian Party had.

These guys might be polling well right now at 9% but I doubt they get anything close to that after all is said and done.

The interesting thing to me is that Romney did not even try to articulate sincere, patriotic positions. Romney refused to attack the corruption and cronyism in Washington. He refused to attack the disasters of the Obama/Clinton foreign policy. Had he done these things Romney would be president now. It seems like Romney purposely lost the election to Obama.

Now Romney is working tirelessly to sabotage the Republican candidate and the Republican Party in the upcoming election.

It is clear Romney is working to help Clinton win.

The self described “principled conservatives” are also working to help Clinton win.
