You are correct.

Supreme Court won’t matter if the 80 million illegals are allowed to stay.

While I hear it being reported by the press that he is softening his stance, I have heard nothing of the sort from Trump. But seriously, there are many more reasons to vote for Trump. Not a game changer for this Trump supporter. Disappointed yes. I still think when the rubber hits the road Trump will secure the border.

I don’t see any change either. MSM just trying to erode the base. Hillary can’t win on the issues.

Whoever says “blah blah blah and it’s over” the way this guy is saying it must be really straining to look for a reason to abandon Trump.

I’m out if Trump wimps out on deportation. That is the ONLY reason I supported him.

So how much can one earn from the Hillary campaign to go on conservative sites and post such nonsense?

There’s no reason for him to do this now.

Only one of the many destructive things she’ll do. She should be the focus of our concern, not Trump.

I’ll vote for Trump regardless, but the real question for anyone thinking about Wilkow’s statement rationally is: How would a Trump flip/flop on immigration affect the new voters he’s attracted and those who haven’t voted in recent presidential but planned to vote for him?

How would it affect his total support, not what does any given Freeper think about it personally.

It will cost him some votes and it will cost him some enthusiasm among many of his supporters. Hopefully it wouldn’t be a fatal blow, but it worries me that RNC types are beginning to influence him.

It is absolutely amazing how many people have such a tenuous hold on their beliefs that they will accept almost anything that is said.

If after saying “they all have to go back” and “I’ll never lie to you”, Trump starts back pedaling on immigration, while obviously none of his supporters will go to no-borders Shillary, it certainly will not help his turn out. In a close election, it could well be the difference between wining and losing.

“I’m out if Trump wimps out on deportation. That is the ONLY reason I supported him.”

Regardless of the path he takes through the immigration/terrorism issues, you know he’ll always be a fighter to clean up the mess.

That’s where Hillary fails. Regardless of what she says, you know she wants to let them all in and make them citizens.

Exactly!

Trump’s immigration position hasn’t changed. Andrew Wilcow was anti-Trump, until very recently....fyi.

He needs to read Trump’s Immigration policy...

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/immigration-reform

And, to ALL of you negative Nancy naysaying trolls.....the boss, here, agrees...that Trump hasn’t changed his immigration policy...so, please take your ‘then this is it, he’s lost me’ (for the umpteenth time), and go elsewhere. We’re fighting a war, here, against Hildebeast/left/socialism....

Doesn’t sound like he’s changed his position on illegal immigration at all.

look, the trumpsters on this site literally and figuratively threw old time freepers off this forum if they didn't support Trump...

Trump is not a conservative, he's more liberal than any rino denounced by freepers...

even so, HE IS OUR CANDIDATE and we MUST support him...

if I can support him, even though I'm not sure I even like him, then the rest of you can support him....

how dare anyone come on here NOW after kicking other freepers who supported other candidates off, and proclaim that you might not vote for your candidate....

GROW UP AND VOTE FOR TRUMP....there are no alternatives...

If Trump starts waffling or playing word games about amnesty like all the GOPe has been doing for years he has screwed himself and us.

Was listening to 1210 yesterday (Philly). The host did an informal poll of callers asking if Trump flipped on immigration would they still support him...the unanimous result was that everyone would still support him.

When it comes to immigration and Trump, I know what I want -

- Security/no more illegals (wall and other measures)
- Criminal illegals (yes, all illegals are criminals but I mean murderers, rapists, etc) gone immediately
- No jihadists
- No benefits or citizenship for those here

He hasn’t backed off these and won’t. The deportation of all illegals is something I want to but the top4 are deal breakers...the last one is not. He’s still taking a harder line BY FAR than any other politician and it will take a lot for me to abandon him.
