(CNN) — Mayors do not have the right to ban burkinis, France's highest administrative court ruled Friday.

The Council of State's ruling suspends a ban in the town of Villeneuve-Loubet, near Nice, and could affect cities around the country that have prohibited the full-length swimsuit.

Why even bother to go to the beach? We have had more and more Hispanics showing up at our local neighborhood pool and they go swimming in their street clothes. So far the lifeguards kick successful at kicking them out. Also NONE of them put diapers on the babies in the kiddie pool or if they do, it is just regular diapers. That is getting to be a big problem.

Kick ‘em out of the country, make it impossible for them to live there.

“By this time next year there will be a bikini ban because it upsets muslims.”

I have no doubt.

Yes, it does look bad. Western Civilization better grow a pair quick.

They need to call out their military, defend their borders, and start deporting en mass.

And look who’s talking, a person with an open borders policy he has to deal with.

I have to admit, that wasn’t exactly what I thought this was.

The picture I saw was a women fully covered with only a slot in the eyes.

This looks odd, but doesn’t make the best case.

To be honest, I suspect this burkini ban was cooked up to get sympathy for them. The police have got better things to do.

Their hair is exposed - a big no-no. Its scent inflames men’s passions (unlike the scent of wet goat ...)

I never understood why it was banned. In fact, some people definitely need to show less of themselves at the beach. Banning Muslims I get, but not specific styles of swimming attire. It looks better than those “swimsuits” the Olympic divers wore that were so low they had to shave their pubic areas in order to wear them.

The fear is that the burkini is the first step towards eventually forcing all women to cover up at the beach, in order not to “offend” muslims. Given the history of the muslims’ history of trying to take over the customs of the areas they migrate to, I don’t think this is an unrealistic fear. Let them assimilate. If they don’t want to dress like a regular European beachgoer, then let them go somewhere else.

I am a Christian and I would not dress like the “regular” French beachgoer. I wouldn’t show that much. Should I be banned?

It’s disgusting how many posters on FR are defending those offensive garbage bags. The burkini represents the degradation & dehumanization of women.

If burkinis are allowed, Muslims will violently attack Non-Muslim women who don’t wear one. Burkinis are just another example of the Islamization of the West.

If one wants to cover from head to toe then don’t go to the beach. If burkinis are so wonderful then why don’t MEN wear them? Why are perverts so obsessed with female modesty but ignore male modesty?

Did you object to the male divers’ outfits? Shouldn’t men be forbidden from going shirtless? Why are people so determined to cover women up but allow men to wear whatever they want?

Double standards is one thing that I do not tolerate.

I thought I was clear that divers diving in skivvies that are so low they have to shave their pubes is a bit much. I don't personally advocate women covering up. I look at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and watch Carl's Jr. Commercials like any other guy. But I still don't see what is criminal about someone wanting to wear what amounts to a Victorian era swimsuit.

I can see banning Muslims, but I can't see banning a bathing suit, no matter how ridiculous it looks.

Sorry, I misunderstood your point.

Personally, I find the burkini very offensive but I can see why some people think it should be allowed. Normally, I would agree.

The problem is that Muslims are very arrogant & they would demand that ALL women wear burkinis.

I lurk on Muslim message boards. They are absolutely obsessed with what women wear & are determined to make every woman “cover”.

Burkinis are a militant political statement.

I agree that the Muslim form of dress for women, and indeed their entire treatment of women is offensive. When I see women in niqabs and burkas and men in those white dress type garments in their skull caps, and mosques, I am overwhelmed with a feeling that THOSE PEOPLE DO NOT BELONG HERE.

That reminded me of something I heard a few years back.

Some “Nude Beach”, could have been in France or Spain, actually said and/or attempted to enforce a ban on “Unattractive” people that were naked on their nude beach.
