Trump Isn't Shifting On Immigration, He’s Just Using Different Words

We’ve gone from deportation force to no amnesty, but we’re going to work with them regarding those who are here illegally. That’s a shift. That seems to be what other former GOP contenders were saying, including Jeb Bush. In fact, it is pretty much Bush’s immigration position that Trump slammed as being weak on illegal immigration. It’s the softening that so many of those who were skeptical about Trump warned the party about, which came out during the Republican nominee’s town hall event last night with Fox News’ Sean Hannity:

Trump keeps mixing it up. It keeps people talking and the news cycle on him. Without spending a dime. Brilliant.

That is an interesting observation.

As far as it goes, you’re right.

While everyone (it seems) is preoccupied with what Mr. Trump MIGHT do next year, the obama/jarett machine is quietly populating the lower 48 with thousands upon thousands of people who should not be here every month.

Let’s keep our eye on the ball NOW. Today is all we have anyway (just a slice of personal philosophy).

If a lid isn’t put on this now, soon to be President Trump may not be able to do anything meaningful. What good is a wall when the invaders are already here?

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, especially in this case.

The Ministry of Propaganda is going full-tilt boogie with this bit of bull.

Enforcing current law means illegal aliens who are caught and deported must wait 10 years before applying for proper entry.
Those previously deported if caught and deported agan are banned for life.

Trump represents a complete turnaround from 30 years of bipartisan policy of non-enforcement.

The Cheap Labor Express does not intend to allow that to happen.

“Trump keeps mixing it up. It keeps people talking and the news cycle on him. Without spending a dime. Brilliant.”

I think you are right. He used the term “bigot” yesterday on Hillary and the msm runs with it. Hillary’s speech is nowhere to be found. Masterful.

What I don’t understand that IF (and I don’t believe it) Trump’s immigration policy is morphing into that of Bush, Rubio, GOPe et al, then WHY THE HECK ARE THEY COMPLAINING ABOUT IT and trying to torpedo his candidacy??? Shouldn’t they be happy that he’s “come around” to their position? (Again, I don’t believe that.)

This whole thing is about the liberal media trying to drive a wedge between Trump and his supporters. The Trump team has just softened the corners. This allows more independents to convince themselves to vote for Trump.

Start with the worst and most recent and keep moving down the list as far as the American people can take you. 90%?

It is to Trump’s credit that he does not think in terms of grouping people based on political expediency, divisive habit. He has looked at the problems the Nation is concerned with and making intelligent decisions on how to solve them.

Keeping rapists, drug dealers and Isis out of the country. Pointing to solutions for devastated inner cities and welfare dependent children.

In order to present solutions, one has to describe them. It is not racist - it is realistic.

The difference between Jeb saying somthing similar to what Trump says is that Jeb had zero intention of doing a darn thing. No fence, no wall, no even getting illegals out of the shadows to get them registered or what ever.

Jeb, Rubio, possibly/probably Cruz, Kasick - just some sounds that came out of their mouths because they saw the reaction to Trump speaking about the problem and the solution. It was like watching teeth pulled to see Jeb pretend like he was taking a firm stance on illegal immigration.

Trump is a man of his word or he would not have had success in the trade he is in. And if Trump was not a man of his word hundreds of people he had done business with would be bleating all over the place.

Trump promising to do a thing which is virtually impossible (due to the roadblocks every politician will throw), shows that he means to do those things, and will try everything he can to accomplish that. WE ALL KNOW that he will not be able to round up every last interloper, we all know that the pressure to continue the status quo will be excruciating, yet he won’t abandon the attempt. All those other guys would have done nothing at all.

He may have to compromise on a part of his plan to get the most accomplished that he possibly can. Keep in mind one fact - ANYTHING Trump does will indeed have more impact than any action promised by Jeb. There is no comparison. :)
