Sarkozy is bloody damn Right! It’s the Brits immensely generous welfare policies that have drawn these people to Calais which is the closest point they can get to England. From Calais they hope by one way or another to get to England to settle. They are not French. They don’t want to stay in France. They want to get to ENGLAND for the FREEBIES! They SHOULD NOT BE FRANCE’S PROBLEM!
It may be the belief in British benefits (among other attractions), but not the reality - benefits available to new migrants are actually (marginally) better in France than they are in the UK.
