First, there is a law that says they should be deported if they enter illegally. Second, the vast majority of them have committed multiple crimes, e.g., working illegally, evading taxes, ID theft, lying on federal employment forms (I-9), misuse of SSNs, etc. Many of these are felonies.
Trump is trying to walk back mass deportation, which is something none of us in the immigration movement have advocated. The open-borders, amnesty supporters like to offer the false choice of mass deportation or blanket amnesty. There are other alternatives, namely, attrition thru enforcement, which we have empirical data showing it works.
There is no comparison between Trump and Hillary on immigration. Someone needs to ask her some tough questions on her immigration policies. The MSM and some GOPe types would rather go after Trump on his "flip-flops." Hillary is very vulnerable on the immigration issue, especially as it affects American workers, especially low skill minorities.
Next time someone asks Trump about this fear mongering deportation force, Trump should suggest using the team working to empty gitmo and sending all those folks back home
