Yes, the cover is correct - from August 2012. The previous issue Newsweek had blasted Romney, so they wanted to pretend they were fair by blasting Obama.

No, this was not Newsweek's last issue.

Great article, but it was not the article in Newsweek. See that the cover highlights a Niel Ferguson, whereas the article was written by a Matt Patterson (published in a conservative source).
