I too... love Indian food... especially the vindaloo(s)...
The location the parade was held is near a strip of Indian Restaurants... (Lexington between 26th and 28th)that I have frequented...
FWIW, the park to the left in the pictures.... is Madison Square Park... which hosts in June the Great American BBQ... where Pit Masters from all over the country come to compete for a weekend... another one of my favorite foods...!

OMG I would have eaten my way thru that festival ALL DAY!!I have a good Hindu friend. Because her Indian friends in America are originally from both north and south in India, whenever she has a large party, she cooks both the mild and the hot'n'spicy cuisines. It's really a treat.
