Isn’t it amazing that the work Schroeder has done has not been picked up by any mainstream publication? If it was, it would stop all of the “smart” non-creationists from being able to bash believers....
Yes, there have been refinements to things like the age of the universe -- but, by only a few percentage points.
I'm not sure what you mean by "mainstream publication". From the creationist side? Or the scientific side?
As I said, Schroeder's science is quite good, so I'd expect little argument from that quarter.
As for the YEC folks, unfortunately, I find them so irrevocably wedded to the "six earthly-rotation days" -- that the most vocal of them will believe HRC is a saint before they will even allow the relativistic time view to be mentioned.
The truly sad thing is, when you force them right back to basics, it's not the Bible that is their guide, but their basic ego-driven certainty that THEY must be the center of the Universe -- or their entire religion crumbles to nothing... I know of a couple who literally tremble, stutter and drool whenever that personal egocentrism is threatened.

What a liberation it was to discover that I, a physical scientist, could study and rejoice at the full majesty of God's creative genius and might -- without either shaking my confidence in the validity of what my scientific measurements were telling me -- OR disturbing my faith in Him and the inerrant truth of His recorded Word!!!

In fact, I'm intending to contact Schroder and seek his reaction to my long-time work on graphically depicting the harmony between Biblical Creation, and the explosion of scientific information that space-based instruments, etc. are feeding us.
