Colin Kaepernick Wears Socks Depicting Cops As Pigs

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been wearing an interesting pair of socks during practice.

Kaepernick ignited a nationwide debate last Friday when he chose to sit during the national anthem at a home pre-season game in San Francisco. CBS Sports and a handful of Twitter users noticed that Kaepernick has been wearing practice socks that depict little cartoon police officers as pigs:

All the media attention about this story has masked the fact that he simply isn't a very good quarterback.

Sadly, he has ended up like Kordell Stewart and Michael Vick and Vince Young and all the other "all-around athletes" NFL teams have tried to mold into quarterbacks. I think Kaepernick had more talent than any of them, but his head got in the way.

Let the Blaine Gabbert era begin. But I'm finally switching my loyalty to the Cardinals, anyway - after 35 years. :)

They won't buy out his contract -- at least not this year.

The most financially prudent approach for the 49ers is this:

1. Keep him on the roster and pay what they owe him this year.

2. Buy his contract out after the season and walk away from him.

Oddly enough, their biggest risk in this scenario is that he gets injured, which means they can't just buy him out after the season ends. So the best scenario for the team is that they keep him on the roster for this season but never allow him to play in a game.

The guy is basically as worthless as a Styrofoam coffee cup at this point. I'm sure he knows this, which is why he needs to get his 15 minutes of fame while he still has a national platform for his idiocy.

I already wrote to Nike saying I will never buy any of their products again until they publically denounce Kapernick and pull any endorsement deals they have with him.

I believe much of his problem is not knowing where he fits. He certainly doesn't look black but he's trying overly hard to fit in. There's no denying his athletic ability but he's an idiot. I believe he's got obama-syndrome. He wants so hard to fit in but doesn't. Wants everyone, including his hot muzzie girlfriend, to think he's somewhat intellectual and has got swagger and street cred.
