We’ve been getting a lot of $2 bills lately.

I asked at the bank and they said the new “gentleman’s club” in town has a cash machine that only gives $2 bills.

Go figure.

LOL! The strip club figured out how to double the “tips” the strippers got!

Years ago, my ship pulled into West Coast port for a “Show the ship to the civilians” visit. It was fun when I was samed a “tour guide.”
Payday was ALL new bills, including $2.00 bills. Many shop, bar, or restaraunt people had no familiarity with $2’s.
I was, at that time, told New Yorkers would refuse to take a “2”. Couldn’t figure why.

They still call such places “Gentlemen’s Clubs”? How quaint.
It’s sort nice that tradition continues somewhere, although they’re probably not sitting in the parlor holding pipes wearing brocaded smoking jackets and corduroy slippers.
In today’s world that may be a place with Pole Dancers.

= = =

So you don’t have ‘ones’ for tips and things.

My old hometown had a racetrack. $2 bills were common, because of the $2 window...

Our local gun show, held every other month chargers $8 for admission. I’ve been going for years and have always received a $2 bill in change on my way in.

The way I figure it, the dancers wanted a raise, and the owner(s) of the club guaranteed them more tip income and saved a bunch in wages...proving that the dancers and/or the owners of a gentlemen’s club are far smarter than this particular cop (which is clearly not a high hurdle to jump over, apparently).

So it only accepts $10’s, 20’s and 50’s. That’s one way to raise the minimum wage!
