its not just federal....its every single layer of any govt employment that is obscene...every single layer...

Most people would realize that this ration is not sustainable,
since the salaries for the 22 million are confiscated from the 12 million.
Plus many of the 12 million jobs exist only to ensure compliance with
the rules and regulations that have been written by the 22 million.

That’s alot of overhead. A business can’t survive that. Nor can a country.
I would say many, maybe most people would wish to be one of those government workers. They get the best benefits and job security is pretty high.
eventually, the govt class will be the only class with money so the taxes will fall solely on them.....the health care, the property taxes, the income taxes and they'll have their SS taxed to the hilt to... and, because we'll have a minimum of 2 classes...the govt class and the rest of us....there will rising resentment resulting in lots and lots more crime against the govt class/retirees...afterall, they gots the money...
And that's when all hell brakes loose under a Leftist government
FYI, I think crop supports / subsidies have become a relatively smaller part for DoAg’s budget, and the big money is in SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, aka “Food Stamps” (though I think it’s all EBT cards now).
Someone who researched it here on FR last week reported that actual farm subsidies are 19% of the USDA budget.
The rest goes to free food for ‘poor’ people.
After subtracting the young, the elderly and the unemployed. More like ONE IN FIVE!!!
Gov’t jobs, mostly NVA, have become the nation’s workfare program.
That’s 9.93 million but without counting the fact that government workers make more than twice as much.
