Nothing that those 1.81 government workers raising taxes on us (manufacturing worker or not) via tariffs can’t fix. We just need to be patient, they say.

There were 21,995,000 employed by federal, state and local government in the United States in August, according to BLS.

There is about 1 for every 15 people.

there are a number of federal agencies and bureaus which are unnecessary or actually harmful.... and some that are performing patentently unconstitutional programs too...

there is also a lot of fat and political patronage type jobs in many state and local govts too... but if we can get the fed bureaucrappy down to a reason this will do USA and our economy a great deal of good

has Mr. Trump provided us a list of the agencies or bueaus he would seek to close or pare down? forgive me if I missed it, thanks

I think this is something Trump can highlight to help lower this ratio.

Add in all the lawyers vs producing workers to it as well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if corrupt Congress could not justify most of those government workers under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

off the top of the head, here are some agencies or bureaus which could i think be mostly shut down (and we could transfer any personnel to other places where they could possibly do more constructive, constitutional work for us?)

energy (appears to be doing a lot more harm than good anyway)
education (not a federal concern)
ATF (unconstitutional, harmful)
DHS (we already have an FBI and the airport bs is absurd)
agriculture (scale back the price=support programs to the bare minimum required, they were a depression era “emergency type” affair and they are costing us all greatly every week at the supermarket anyway)
treasury (replace very costly inefficient damaging and costly irs code with a straight-forward simple tax that is efficient, less damaging, and far far less costly to administer)
there are some basically good or reasonable at least fed programs that the various states could, and mostly already do.. such as much of osha and doj civil rights division, etc. these could be pared back or shut down to eliminate all the duplication and extra expense and confusion caused by having the federales duplicating state and local programs
(the states would continue to do the work so that no citizens should be adversely impacted)

and of course Obamacare

... anyone having any better ideas? has MR. Trump said what he would seek to acocmplish?

Earlier thread on Free Republic:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3465356/posts

“...According to data for August from the Bureau of Labor Statistics,
federal, state and local government employed 22,213,000 people,
while the manufacturing sector employed 12,281,000 people...”

Most people would realize that this ration is not sustainable,
since the salaries for the 22 million are confiscated from the 12 million.

Plus many of the 12 million jobs exist only to ensure compliance with
the rules and regulations that have been written by the 22 million.

That’s alot of overhead. A business can’t survive that. Nor can a country.

Gov’t jobs, mostly NVA, have become the nation’s workfare program.

That’s 9.93 million but without counting the fact that government workers make more than twice as much.
