This B737NG aircraft is a tired old bird, having been operated over the last fourteen years by four different low cost, high cycle, flying airlines. It looks like all four airline operators leased the aircraft with no direct ownership involved. High cycle means many landings & takeoffs on the aircraft. This is not unsafe, but means the aircraft has been heavily utilized, that maximizes the the use of the engines, leading & trailing edge flaps, landing gears and airframe structure, pressurization & depressurization. Clinton most probably leased this aircraft for a song.
It looks like the Clinton campaign went for a “cheap” exterior aircraft paint scheme. The aircraft was problable “Whited out” after its last lease and was sitting on the ground in storage, fully painted, white. The Clinton campaign did a quickie low dollar paint scheme which makes the aircraft look used and abused in some third world country. Belieev me....folks, i know this business like the back of my hand. Hardly a good show for a would-be-POTUS-contender!!!
And in contrast, didn’t Trump negotiate a great deal on a 737 for Pence to use for travel? Nice to know that our Vice-Presidental nominee is given probably a nicer plane than Hillary is using.
