The two friends I have who are voting Johnson are just both so mad Trump won. They are conservative Christians and are supporting Johnson

—even though -—

he supports abortion on demand, legalized prostitution, no drug laws, -

crap that would SINK a Trump candidacy.

They are being internally inconsistent but will not listen to reason.

One is in California so who cares. The other one is in Colorado and I wish I could budge her.

All if anyone thinks the Johnson guy would pull more R than D votes—( if he got any at all) -—I think they’re wrong.

there are two centrist-right websites I know of that are in full swing attempting to get Pubs to vote Johnson-Weld...all because they don’t like Trump’s braggadocio...

Trump and Perot have the same political views.

If Perot would have won the Republican nomination I would have voted for him. My point was splitting the vote in the democrats favor, not political philosophies.

The only people throwing their vote away are people not voting what they believe. The two parties stink, they’re more interested in their own power than any platform, and one of the reasons they get away with it is all the idiots who think if you don’t vote for one of their candidates you’re throwing your vote away. If you believe in Trump, great vote for him, but not everybody believes in a 5 time party changer.

No, Clinton won because Bush and Dole were lousy candidates who couldn’t energize voters.

wow... thanks for info.

i can’t see any genuine R or conservative voting for Johnson, his politics are just so leftist/statist...they are inconsistent with R philosophy

but there ARE certainly a number of R’s who refuse to accept the vote of the R primary elections..... (same can be said of perhaps 40 percent of D voters, ha!)... maybe some of these poeple might vote for J NOT KNOWING what he stands for, but just as ANY (non-Hilliary) NAME ON THE BALLOT other than the guy who beat their primary candidate?

I still think Trump should refuse to accept any third party candidates in any debate....there are no third party people who are really getting any votes now....and it helps Trump the more the American voters see Hilliary (which is why, aside from her obvious health problems, why she is In Hiding...her political handlers have her drugged up and locked away from the American people... the only way they see she has a chance of winning ...)

So many in CO (and CA) are just too uninformed to reach.

“Talk to twenty random people and ask them the open ended question with no hints: “Who is Gary Johnson”?
I doubt two out of the twenty people could answer that question correctly, must less want to vote for him.”

That wouldn’t work here in New Mexico. Only very young voters wouldn’t know who he is.

Conservatives and independents who are voting for Johson are actually helping Hillary become president, though that may not be their intention.

I have to disagree. Any conservative who votes for Johnson has to be hoping for a Hillary win.

I still think it is hilarious that the Libertarians, the same people who write pious lectures about the “Demopublicans”, went full retard and showed themselves to be much bigger whores than any Dem or Pub. They sold out on freedom of association, the 2nd Amendment, and taxes. But hey, Gary likes his weed! That’s all that is really important to them.

Johnson got endorsed by the Richmond Times Dispatch, second-largest newspaper in Virginia (counting the WashPost).

“I like the ideas the Libertarian parties espouses; smaller government, more liberty, less government intrusion into our lives. I’m really not 100% sure that Trump is for these things.”

This is not what Gary Johnson is proposing though.

There is no way Johnson can muster 270 Electoral College votes.

You're right, he can't. What he can do, however, is take away enough votes from Hillary to ensure Donald Trump wins the presidency. For that reason, I want to see him included in the debates.
