If I had no fear about my phones, I’d just turn them in for proper disposal through the IT branch.

At the VA we are required to turn in laptops and communications devices when we no longer need them or use them. If usable they will be wiped clean (not with a cloth) and issued again. If they are obsolete or damaged they will be destroyed.

We are forbidden to use personal computers or communication devices that contain any patient information or job related subjects. We can not do it, period. They will fire you for doing it.
