I sympathize. I think we were all a little concerned for a day or so. But he has since cleared that up and reasserted his strong stance against amnesty.

And by doing so he reestablishes himself as the ONLY republican presidential nominee to hold a clear no amnesty position in modern politics. Including Ronald Reagan.

So what is the problem?

I’ll tell you what the problem is. Some people got their feelings hurt and can’t man up, wipe the tears away and just get over it. The Bushes are hurt that their son/brother Jeb got trounced. Look, if Jeb hadn’t run, Trump would never have said a single bad word about GWB’s presidency, and both ex presidents would have showed up at the convention all smiles. But the reality is Jeb ran. That’s not Trumps fault. There’s no way Trump could campaign successfully against Jeb without discrediting GWB’s presidency. So now they’re butt hurt and boycott the convention. That’s pathetic.

Same is true of Cruz. The Cruz supporters are butt hurt and they’re apparently never going to get over it. Pathetic.

And as an early Trump supporter, I can tell you Trump was called a lot of demeaning things before he started returning the favor. To Cruzes’ credit, he was one of the last to join in but then he made up for lost time.

I remember Ronald Reagan saying of Ford “I played football too, but I wore a helmet!” - implying brain damage. Reagan said some pretty rough things - everyone acts like Trump is the only person who has ever called someone a bad name - it’s rediculous.
