Don’t EVER apologize for the truth. Rephrase it, yes. Make it understandable for black people that it has nothing to do with prejudice, but rather principle. Tell them that you are not prejudice, that you love Black Americans, and will promote any Black American to any position. There are well qualified Black Americans that would make a wonderful President who are 100% born in America and would therefore be Constitutionally qualified for the job, but likely Barack Obama is not and that is not in any way a reflection on Black Americans in general.
