I had walking pneumonia for several weeks before I finally went to a doctor about it. I coughed a lot, and couldn’t walk a half mile without sitting down to rest. By the time I got to the doctor, my cough was so persistent, she wrote out a prescription for a strong version of Vicodin, not for any pain, but just for the cough. A few weeks later, I was good as new.
