No. The team didn’t put her life at risk because in all likelihood they knew exactly what was happening - she went into the off-state with her long-standing Parkinson’s disease. All that was required was to get her to an “undisclosed location” where she could take her next dose of levodopa or, alternatively, a dose of apomorphine, without any “unauthorized” witnesses. Once she was back in the on-state, she could safely go about her “normal” routine. There must be thousands of physicians in the U.S. with enough experience treating Parkinson’s disease to recognize what is likely going on here. I wonder how many of them are paying close enough attention.

Bellevue would be the closest Level I trauma center, probably 10-15 minutes away up the FDR drive from the Trade Center. Lower Manhattan Hospital (Formerly NY Downtown) would be the closest hospital, a few blocks away by the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge.
