Where we used to live there was an ‘egg donor’ (I shall not call her a mother),lived in our trailer park, who encouraged her daughter, then 14 or 15, to get pregnant as soon as possible so they could get more welfare money coming in.

I was doing a pro-life vigil at an abortion site in Oakland, CA--- ran into a cute, red-haired blue-eyed girl in hot pants and a halter top who was dropped off by her mother to go in and get her package of oral contraceptives. I reckon she was 12, because she said she had just had her first period.
It became clear that the mother had the girl providing sexual services for a regular paying customer, but the girl didn't realize this was prostitution. She thought the guy "loved" her, plus he was generous and bought her bracelets and Chinese take-out food, and gave her mother money.
"Don't worry, as long as I'm on the Pill I won't be getting any abortions," She said, cheerily. "I'm against that, I think it's killing the poor little baby. I'd never get an abortion --- unless Mom and Darrell made me."

Looks like they pulled the voting.
Went to the site (yeah, I know) and clicked the NO vote but it wouldn’t register. Tried the link on a different search engine and the two bottom pages were blank. Guess the responses weren’t what the kumbayah author wanted.

In Texas, it’s at least a 30 minute drive into town and maybe only one grocery store in the whole county. Lived here all my life and have yet to see anyone starve.
