In all honesty, I don’t think she looked that bad going up the stairs. My mom said to me one time - why do you never use a handrail/bannister. That comes to mind and now I often do. I seem to recall DJT saying he uses one in rallies so he doesn’t trip and fall (paraphrasing).
All that said, Wolfie seemed totally breathless seeing Mrs. Clinton - I suspect he was wishing he was there. But, alas, there’s only Andrea Mitchell to kiss up to her.
