He got a good applause when he described the ‘deplorables’.....policemen, etc.
It’s a rubber chicken event (obviously, per above comments), so applause it much more toned down than a rally.

Looks like just a bunch of stuffed-shirt economists in the audience. Your typical Pointy-headed intellectuals. The applause is polite enough but I’m not expecting anything exuberant from this crowd. But deep down inside, they are probably brimming with excitement.
