Thanks Cboldt, how do you refrain from attacking the TV screen? You must have an “iron constitution.”
I view CNN programming as (unintentional) parody, which is exactly what it is when it engages in political coverage. Think Baghdad Bob. It is not serious material. I'll switch to Gary Cooper in "Friendly Persuasion" later this morning, and leave the teevee on TCM until Trump event "makes new news."
Donna Shalala says there was no conflict of interest between the Foundation and the State Department, but that can't be sustained when Clinton is president. Shalala disputes any indication that Clinton decisions were influenced by any donation to the Clinton Foundation.
On the subject of e-mail between Doug Band and Abedin relating to access (by Feldman?), Shalala said "that never happened" assuming the access.
Shalala says the donations are totally transparent (except for the 1100 foreign donations). The plan for the Clinton Foundation is to rename the entities other than Clinton Library and similar.
Friendly interview by Camerota of CNN. Shalala was interviewed unopposed. The only push was the e-mail exchange involving Doug Band, and Camerota accepted the answer of "the request was not fulfilled."
It is best to assume that everything Shalala said was misleading.
