I had the misfortune to have to fly this past week.

The airport had CNN on their television screens. I hadn’t watched it in a long time.

My running commentary to my wife was: “Lie....lie....lie...lie....lie...lie...”

Every sentence was a lie—every sentence. Even Pravda must have had a better track record in the old Soviet Union.

What I do is take CNN as a parody. It is not a serious program, it is deliberately over the top. Baghdad Bob was highly entertaining, precisely because he used this same approach. Obvious lies, weird logical leaps, all in deadpan serious face.

They know they are lying.
