It seems to me that communism/socialism in the 20th century fell into two camps:

Some people wanted to focus on their own country and promote collectivism. Both Stalin and Hitler went down this road.
Some people wanted to export the revolution to the entire world. Trotsky and Gramsci went down this road.

After Hitler’s National Socialism was defeated, Germany felt shame about its nation and instead shifted to a New World Order, borderless world concept of collectivism. I think Germany is still anti-zionist (more so now with all the Muslims coming in).

They are now aggressive internationalists rather than aggressive nationalists. But they haven’t changed all that much. Clausewitz is famous for saying “War is the continuation of politics by other means”. I think the reverse may be true. “Politics is the continuation of war by other means.” Germany uses political methods to change the world. It’s true that they avoid war. But they still seek global domination and a new world order.

“But they [Germany] still seek global domination and a new world order.”

Maybe so, unless the German national character gets f***ed away by aggressive Muslim commingling. Might take a generation or two.
