I’ve been up in the high Sierra mountains with little access to the web. I came down to Clovis, Ca., next to Fresno, home of Free Republic, to outfit myself with some new work duds. Winter is fast approaching in the high country, and the resort that I am working at will close by mid-October.

Have you ever been to Kennedy Meadows? It is a small camping area at the trail head to go off on horseback through trails. There was a small little restaurant... You got what the cook felt like cooking, which was usually very good, or a hamburger!
