CNN’s Jake Tapper asked New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on State of the Union on Sunday morning about the supposed contrast between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in their responses to the explosions Saturday in New York, editing out Clinton’s reference to “bombings” to create a false distinction.
Tapper cited Trump referring to a “bomb” in New York, then played a clip of Clinton criticizing him for saying that — leaving out Clinton’s reference, seconds before, to what she called “bombings.”
Here is the Tapper’s question for Christie, with the edited Clinton clip:
Tapper: There is a contrast, I would say, between how you’re speaking about it and how Mr. Trump spoke about it yesterday. He’s being criticized for talking about the New York bomb before local officials or local law enforcement had a chance to do so. He told the Colorado Springs crowd that “a bomb went off in New York, and nobody knows exactly what’s going on” — that’s really just a few minutes after the incident. And his opponent tried to draw a contrast. She waited hours later, until local officials spoke, and then she said this:
Clinton (clip): I think it’s important to know the facts about any incident like this. I think it’s always wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions.
Tapper: As a general note, do you think politicians should wait until more information comes in, and should they defer to local official and investigators? Isn’t that what you do as the governor of New Jersey?
Tapper made no mention of Clinton’s similar remark.

Exactly. They think they can get away with it then they wonder why we don’t trust them. LOL.
This is beyond pathetic. I shouldn’t have to rely on foreign papers to get balanced mainstream media reporting about this election, but that’s where we are today with the American media serving to the will of the Democrat Party!
What we need are leaders who are slow and plodding, who can’t size up a situation quickly. Having instincts, being able to see around the bend, showing some hustle — these are not good.
Re. Jake Tapper’s “family friend,” Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky.

Tapper had read in the newspaper that Margolies-Mezvinsky, a family friend, was running for Congress. He called the house, and she immediately invited him over.
“You know, when you think about a political campaign, you picture this giant, organized machine,” Tapper said. “I got over there, and it was just Marjorie and two women sitting there talking.”
Tapper helped her with speeches, planning events, and “fell into” working with the press. After her primary victory, he joined her staff full time, where he has gained a reputation for bombarding media outlets with forests of shiny fax paper.
“I was seeing the fax machine in the beginning, but it was never a serious relationship. I really fell in love with my fax modem,” he quips.
After the election, Tapper asked Margolies-Mezvinsky on a train ride to Washington if he could be her press secretary. She agreed.
Margolies-Mezvinsky says she has known Tapper “since he was in the womb” and sometimes has to remind herself not to act like a doting relative. But she says Tapper instantly proved his worth early on in the campaign with his resourcefulness combined with a healthy sense of humor.
“I can’t say enough nice things about him without sounding like his mother,” Margolies-Mezvinsky said. “I had been in the media for 25 years, and I had gotten dozens of calls from friends after I won who wanted to work as press secretary. When Jake came to me and said, ‘I want to go to Washington,’ it was crystal clear to me that, despite all these people I had worked with in the field, he would be wonderful here, he would be just fine.”
The most charitable way to interpret that tweet is that he doesn’t like Trump (and by extension, any of us) thinking independently and not waiting for the Official Truth to be handed to him.

It’s “lede”, not “lead”.
Well, he will not be fired for it...so, we can extrapolate that this is a regular, or at least excepted, practice over at CNN.
There were explosion confirmations made by NYPD before Trump got off the plane in Colorado last night. The MSM was just REALLY late with their coverage of it.
She certainly did say bombings and I hope this editing by Tapper incident becomes known to all.

Don't mean to thump the bible at cha’ll, but this is exactly whats happening. These people who are supposed to be objective are aiding an agenda. Their first intuition...is to lie. Skew the report to give a false impression to the listener/reader.

Hillary’s entire response was framed to say SHE had been briefed...SHE had spoken with all the right people...so of course it would look like SHE is connected......that was ore lies of course.
Actually both of the stated the same thing regarding the facts....just differently.... with Hillary making herself the focus.
Trump.....’nobody knows what’s going on’.
Clinton....’I’ll have more to say about when we actually know some facts.’

You see Trump was reckless by calling it a bomb after it was a bomb - and it became a bomb when the bomber made it into a bomb, and after it had exploded, but before it was declared by CNN to be a bomb. So even if everyone knew it was a bomb, and it was a bomb, it wasn't a bomb when Trump called it a bomb but only became a bomb after he called it a bomb.
Is that clear enough?
It's like a question on an Ivy League philosphy exam. When did the bomb become a bomb - when the bomber conceived it to be a bomb, when the bomber wired up the detonator, when the bomber planted the bomb, when the bomb exploded - at which point one might argue it was no longer a bomb but had been a bomb until it blew up and wasn't, or when CNN declared it was a bomb.
