What does IED mean today? I thought it was an anti-military device.

It’s a bomb. An IED means to normal people what it always meant, no matter how strongly the libs in this city try to spin it. Improvised EXPLOSIVE device. Yes, a homemade bomb. Sounds really similar to the Boston Marathon bombs.

Improvised Explosive Device (IED), not to be confused with EID which is the last day of Ramadamadingdong which was 9/12.
Those 3 letters also spell DIE which is associated with both an IED and EID.
