Report: George H.W. Bush to Vote for Hillary Clinton

Former President George H.W. Bush is bucking his party’s presidential nominee and plans to vote for Hillary Clinton in November, according to a member of another famous political family, the Kennedys.

Bush, 92, had intended to stay silent on the White House race between Clinton and Donald Trump, a sign in and of itself of his distaste for the GOP nominee. But his preference for the wife of his own successor, President Bill Clinton, nonetheless became known to a wider audience thanks to Kathleen Hartington Kennedy Townsend, the former Maryland lieutenant governor and daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy.

On Monday, Townsend posted a picture on her Facebook page shaking hands next to the former president and this caption: “The President told me he’s voting for Hillary!!”

With his addled brain, or what’s left of it, Bush the Elder has something in common with Hillary. I hope that family realizes that none of them have any future in the Republican Party.

The Bush 41’s (George and Laura) were on Larry King in 1993 before their sons forayed into politics in 1994.

Gone from Washington after 12 years as the “Second” and “First” families, they both said they believe in a ‘woman’s right to choose’ something they abstained from saying while in Washington.

Just another “read my lips” moment from 41 but yes you are so right about the “Globalists” whom I call “Corporatists”.

All they want is a world system, a world economy, a world order.

Republicans pretend to be conservative and Democrats pretend to be liberal and they both do what big banks and big business want once they are elected.

The words of the election season mean nothing once they get into power.

“Bush-PeRino wing of the Republican Party”

you mentioned Perino, I’m guessing Dana can finally come out of the closet now, Poppy Bush said it’s OK. I’m thinking W will probably keep his mouth shut.

The Bushes have showed themselves to be venal

My whole point was that the Bush family, whatever their failings, were not venal and I find no evidence that they are.

They are good friends. I have a friend that ran for school board and I said I would vote for her.

Not a chance.

The voters have dumped the Bush dynasty for good. Come November we will send the Clintoons to the same museum.

That nitwit doesn’t understand that this is actually an endorsement for Trump.

Actually, TTFlyer mentioned PeRino, I was just following along noting that “the bent one’s” wife is who they were voting for.

Peyronie’s disease is caused by injury (typically repeated injury) to the penis usually making for a severely bent penis. I just made the connection to the statement and how close the names are.

That’s an interesting point about GH Bush and his position on abortion; when Reagan grudgingly picked him for VP (the man had never won a statewide election, only a safe R congressional seat in Texas), as a price for it, Bush announced he was changing his position on abortion 180 degrees to fit the Party’s platform. I guess a few years later the real Bush came out on Larry King and he was suddenly once more in favor of abortion. Really principled people, aren’t they??

Not a surprise as Trump turned Jebby from the presumptive favorite nominee into a left wing Emmy award tool.

I am not a champion of either Bush, or any of them for that matter, but I have no evidence that they have acted corruptly. If you have such evidence I'm willing to be educated but to merely refer me to some book is a nonstarter.

Incidentally my very first vanity in this forum was to indict George W Bush for his failure to enforce the border, which was ahead of its time and drew a degree of criticism. As I said, I'm willing to be educated.

So we are all taking the word of this Kennedy to go after him. Yet his spokesman says that his vote is private. We are jumping through the hoops that Kennedy has put there.

If he doesn’t make a public announcement, that’s fine. If he makes a public announcement, that changes everything. Kennedy, Politico, and the Hillary team want to change the news cycle to this insignificant thing.

No surprise there. Now, if Trump had picked Jeb as his minder, I mean VEEP, things would be different.

Jeb Bush couldn’t remember he was in the race. Neither could we.

This also proves that these guys (on both Party) consider themselves part of a ‘ruling class’, where they hate an ‘outsider’ more than their own ideological opponents

Of course, to sleep with GHWB, Her Royal Thighness would have to be inclined toward sex with men. Hell would have no fury like Islamofascist Huma Abedin scorned.
