Pence picked a good year to sit on the sidelines and wait things out. He never had to attack Trump. Also Cruz and Trump both have outsized egos (not always a bad thing) meaning they can’t work as well together.
To this day, Cruz has not honored his word/pledge/commitment. The man is an unethical, lying POS.
