Why would the overseas residents vote overwhelmingly Democrat?

Cause big Leftists who have a Eurocentric view of the world/look down on the USA/think of themselves as Citizens of the World are the ones most likely to be living abroad.

There are a lot of retirees also living abroad, especially in third world tropical locales with lower cost of living. Even if there are legitimately 8 million American ex-pats living abroad, Trump will likely get a good share of those. Not all those who chose to reside overseas are leftists. There are several Freepers who live abroad by choice (not for military service).
